Where Cantein hemp is grown

Cantein hemp is grown in China’s Heilongjiang region. Hemp has been cultivated there for more than 3,000 years. We use this origin because the soil is naturally low in heavy metals — then we still test finished lots.

Origin is a control, not a slogan

Hemp is a soil cleaner. It will take up whatever is in the ground, including metals you do not want in a daily protein. Low-metal soil is the first filter. Eurofins testing for lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium is the second. We do not skip the panel because the region is historic.

What we do after harvest

Seeds are cold-pressed — mechanically, at low temperature, with no hexane. Flavored Cantein then adds a short organic ingredient list (MCT, flavor, monk fruit, salt). Unflavored stays one ingredient: organic hemp protein. Every batch is screened for 15 pesticides, 12 contaminants including THC, 9 microbes, and those 4 metals.
