Cantein amino acids
Cantein is a complete plant protein: all 9 essential amino acids from hemp, not from a rice-and-pea blend. Numbers below are from the bag labels, per 35g scoop.
Essential amino acids
| Amino acid | Vanilla / chocolate | Unflavored |
|---|---|---|
| Histidine | 0.61 g | 0.76 g |
| Isoleucine | 0.87 g | 1.08 g |
| Leucine | 1.44 g | 1.80 g |
| Lysine | 0.73 g | 0.92 g |
| Methionine | 0.44 g | 0.55 g |
| Phenylalanine | 0.93 g | 1.16 g |
| Threonine | 0.73 g | 0.91 g |
| Tryptophan | 0.1 g | 0.1 g |
| Valine | 1.04 g | 1.30 g |
Unflavored grams run higher because that scoop is 28g protein (one ingredient). Vanilla and chocolate are 22g protein in the same 35g scoop because MCT, flavor, monk fruit, and salt take part of the weight. Methionine stays low for a complete protein — 0.44g flavored, 0.55g unflavored. That is a hemp trait, not a gap we “fix” with a second plant.
