How Cantein is tested
Cantein is USDA Certified Organic hemp protein, cold-pressed from whole seeds. We do not use hexane or other chemical solvents. Finished lots are third-party tested with Eurofins Scientific.
The 40-test panel
The lab panel behind “40 tests. Zero compromises.” is:
- 15 pesticide screens (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides)
- 12 contaminant screens, including THC
- 9 microbial screens (bacteria and fungi)
- 4 heavy metals — lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium
Every batch is also tested for THC and CBD to SOP standards. Those come back with no detectable amounts. If you want a lot-specific certificate, email info@cantein.com with the lot code on your bag.
Why origin is part of the test plan
Hemp is grown in China’s Heilongjiang region, where it has been cultivated for more than 3,000 years. We use that origin because the soil is naturally low in heavy metals — then we still test finished lots. Origin does not replace the panel. Read where Cantein hemp is grown.
What cold-pressed keeps in the powder
Seeds are mechanically pressed at low temperature. That is why a 35g scoop still carries fiber and minerals with the protein, instead of a solvent-refined isolate. Unflavored Cantein is one ingredient: organic hemp protein, 28g protein per scoop. Flavored bags are 22g protein because the scoop also includes MCT, flavor, monk fruit, and salt.
