Does hemp protein have THC? Not enough to matter. The seeds don’t make THC themselves, but small traces can rub off from the rest of the plant during harvest, which is why seeds are cleaned before they’re pressed into protein so hemp protein won’t get you high.

Is hemp protein a drug?

What Eurofins found
In September 2025, Eurofins tested one Cantein sample for 16 cannabinoids, including THC and CBD. All were below the 1mg/kg detection limit. THC lives in the flower and leaves, and the seed does not make it. That is one sample, not every lot. Other hemp protein brands do not have a THC test publicly available.
